1. Light magnesia is mainly used as raw materials for making ceramics, enamels, refractory crucibles and refractory bricks. It is also used as a polishing agent, binder and filler for paper, accelerator and activator for chloroprene rubber and fluororubber.


2. One of the main uses of magnesium oxide is as a flame retardant. Traditional flame retardant materials widely use halogen-containing polymer or halogen-containing flame retardant mixture.


3. Fine magnesium oxide can be used as optical coating. When the thickness of the coating is between 300 nanometers and 7 millimeters, the coating is transparent. The refractive index of the coating is 1.72 mm thick.


4. It can be used for climbing stones and can absorb sweat from hands.


5. Magnesium oxide can also be used as neutralizer. Magnesium oxide is alkaline and has good adsorption performance. It can be used as neutralizer for acid-containing waste gas, wastewater treatment, heavy metal and organic waste liquid treatment, etc. With the improvement of environmental protection requirements, domestic demand is growing rapidly.


6. Mainly used in the preparation of oral medicines to neutralize excessive gastric acid. Commonly used preparations are: emulsion; magnesium capping tablets, magnesium oxide and sodium bicarbonate mixed powder, etc.
